Richard Scott Squires is the Founder and Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) of Squires Global Immigration Solutions, a Canadian immigration consulting practice committed to providing thoughtful, strategic, and client-centred guidance to individuals and families navigating Canada’s immigration system. Mr. Squires’ approach to immigration consulting is founded on a simple principle: every client is different, and every immigration journey deserves to be understood on its own merits. Immigration decisions can have significant personal, professional, and financial consequences. For this reason, he believes clients deserve more than assistance with forms and procedures—they deserve clear information, careful analysis, realistic expectations, and a strategy designed around their individual circumstances. Mr. Squires completed the Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law at Queen’s University in 2025, providing him with formal academic training in Canadian immigration and citizenship law. Following completion of his studies, he successfully completed the required licensing examination and became a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) through the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). His practice is guided by the professional and ethical obligations established for regulated immigration consultants in Canada. His path to immigration consulting is grounded in a broader academic and professional background. Mr. Squires holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Business, with his studies in political science developing a particular interest in international politics, international relations, and the forces that shape interactions between countries and their people. This interest gradually evolved into a deeper interest in migration, international mobility, and the complex personal and systemic challenges associated with the immigration journey. Before entering the immigration profession, Mr. Squires built his career in client-centred professional and business roles, developing practical experience in client management, communication, relationship building, problem-solving, and working with people from diverse backgrounds. These experiences shaped an understanding that remains central to his approach today: effective professional service begins with listening, understanding the client’s objectives, communicating clearly, and building relationships based on trust.
